This programme, which is included in a cycle of studies for teachers training, provides students with a good knowledge of the Portuguese culture, according to the programmes adopted in 3º ciclo do ensino básico and in ensino secundário, as a way to prepare students for their respective teaching area.
Sensibilização para grandes temas da cultura portuguesa, promovendo o conhecimento do património cultural e da memória colectiva. O programa, que privilegia o estudo dos processos de construção e reconstrução da memória cultural, desde a fixação do mito fundador de Ourique, justificando a reconquista e a expansão, à (re) construção identitária dos séculos XIX-XX, visa dotar os estudantes de competências que facultem a perceção da identidade portuguesa no mundo, adquirindo e sedimentando saberes que suscitem e escorem a relação com a memória coletiva, conhecendo a génese e desenvolvimento de temas fundamentais e estruturantes como a questão do sebastianismo, do Quinto Império e da sua projeção na contemporaneidade.
