Teaching methods and learning activities

There are several teaching methodologies. Theoretical-practical sessions – lecturing and discussion with students in the classroom about the topics of syllabus with the use of demonstrative examples. Tutorial supervision  sessions -   presentation and discussion by students, organized in small groups, texts and case studies previously selected and appointed by the teacher. The teacher publishes in SIGARRA / FLUP a developed summary for each topic of the syllabus with specific indications about the contents and bibliography. In SIGARRA / FLUP is available bibliography of some of the required reading.

Eligibility for exams

Evaluation: individual written work; final exam; work in orientation tutorial sessions.

Calculation formula of final grade

Weighted of the assessment components of the final grade: individual written assignment (25%), final exam (65%); work in lessons tutorials (10%).
It is mandatory to carry out the work and individual written final exam.
Approval of course implies that the classification obtained in the final written exam and oral if necessary, and individual written is equal to or higher than 10, for each of them.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

Students who, in accordance with the Rules of the Faculty Assessment of Knowledge, are exempted from attendance and wish to carry out assessment with final exam are required to contact the teacher at the beginning of the period of operation of the subject, for the purpose of establishing the related evaluation of knowledge.

Classification improvement

The student may apply for improving the classification in accordance with the Rules of the Faculty Evaluation. Improving classification focuses only on the final written exam and oral is required. Will be considered for the calculation of the final mark, the marks obtained in the remaining components. It keeps the weight given to each of these components of evaluation and the conditions for approval for the course.

The time of appeal includes performing a new final exam, and if necessary oral (65% of final grade), and / or a new individual report writing (25% of final grade), on a date to deliver stipulated by the teacher . For approval to the course, the classification of each of these evaluation components must be equal to or higher than 10. FACE THE EPIDEMOLOGICAL SITUATION THE EVALUATION OF THE UC UNDER AN AMENDMENT TO WHICH IS INITIALLY FOUND IN THE FOLLOWING TERMS

- TYPE OF EVALUATION: EVALUATION DISTRIBUTED WITHOUT FINAL EXAM

- EVALUATION COMPONENTS: INDIVIDUAL WORK AND CLASS PARTICIPATION (TOs)

- Formula for calculating the final grade: Weighting of the evaluation components in the final grade: INDIVIDUAL WORKS (80%); OTS (20%). INDIVIDUAL WORK is mandatory. The approval of the curricular unit implies that the classification obtained in the two individual works is equal to or higher than 10 values, for each one of them.

- The student may request an improvement in the classification in accordance with the FLUP Assessment Rules. The classification improvement focuses only on the second individual work. The statement of this work is different from that presented in the initial statement. For the purposes of calculating the final grade, the grades obtained in the remaining evaluation components will be considered. The weight given to each of these evaluation components and the conditions for approval in the course unit are maintained.

- The appeal period includes the realization of new individual works whose themes will not be identical to the individual works presented during the semester. They will correspond to 80% of the final grade. For approval of the course unit, the classification of each individual report must be equal to or higher than 10 values. For the calculation of the final classification, the weighting regarding the work developed in the tutorial orientation sessions is maintained.
