Objectives
The students should: 1. know how research in sciences of language is carried out by the development of methodological rigor and critical search; 2. develop the ability to use basic skills in the preparation and execution of research in this scientific domain; 3. know procedures and terminology used in oral and written presentation of linguistic studies, as well as basic equipment to collect and analyze data and results; 4. acquire knowledge about field and experimental work; 5. reveal ability to participate actively in a project of linguistics; 6. improve ability to read scientific papers in the domain of sciences of language; 7. develop the ability to carry out autonomous study in the field of linguistics.
Learning outcomes and competences
The students should have acquired the following skills: 1. knowledge of how research in sciences of language is carried out by the development of methodological rigor and critical reasoning; 2. Eligibility for exams
Attending 75% of classes, unless established otherwise by law.
Calculation formula of final grade
The evaluation is the result of weighted average of the continuous assessment work without final exam. The evaluation items are the following:
1) Participation in a research project about a theme related to Linguistics – 50%
2) An observation report of a Linguistics’ conference – 20%
3) Classroom's questions about a theme of the syllabus – 30%
