Objectives

Mature and deepen some of the most relevant competencies and skills of the learning process acquired during the Bachelor, with a multimedia project, housed in a traineeship in close cooperation between the companies and the multimedia studio degree.


The definition of multimedia projects, will prioratize the following areas:
• Infographics;
• Content management in multimodal platforms;
• Photography; video; 3D content;
• Technologies and skills support: Web Technologies; Communication Design; HCI-UX.


The student may also choose a scientific research work, once the UC regent considers the scope to be adequate to the class profile and its outcomes.

Learning outcomes and competences

The Multimedia Project should strengthen specific skills on, at least one of the following areas:
• Infographics;
• Content management in multimodal platforms;
• Photography; video; 3D content;
• Technologies and skills support: Web Technologies; Communication Design; HCI-UX.

The project will include the following steps:

i) Analysis of the concept;
ii) Survey of the state of the art in multimedia area and identification of gains and innovation of the product / service to be developed;
iii) List of necessary development requirements (or monitoring the development) of the product or service;
iv) Development of the product or service, in accordance with the predefined deliverables;
v) Validation of the final result with the target audience;
vi) Production of a final report (individual and that should consider the points above);
vii) Public presentation (posters' modality);
viii Project (group avaliation)

Teaching methods and learning activities

Projetual approach (teamwork) in close cooperation between the companies and the multimedia studio degree. Projects in selected areas, with predefined interim deliveries, as well as the expected final outcomes.
Shared development between the facilities of the proposing institutions and multimedia studio;

The project and the report evaluation its from the responsibility of students' supervisors with the grades decided collegially.

The frequency of the traineeship is at the companies facilities, although it is desirable that students develop the project also at the premises of the multimedia studio degree, promoting team spirit and projetual approach.
