To describe the main constituent areas of the European space in the various levels considered: physical, historical-cultural and socio-economic. To systematize the constituent areas of the European space according to the similarities and contrasts. Structural level interpretation of the long-term organization of Europe.

A simultaneous systematic and regional geographical approachhas complementary advantages the study of Europe: a 'systematic' approach allows the understanding of the various geographical agencies in Europe; the "regional 'approach enables the understanding of the unique and integrated arrangement of those systematic agencies in regional settings.

Theoretical-practical classes.
The theoretical aspect favours the systematic acquisition of analytical content. The sequential description of contents is done through the vision of the entire continent under each one of the substantive domains: environment, culture and history, economy and society.
The practical side favours the systematic integration of geographical aspects in different regional units, each of them as the result of mutual influences of the natural environment, historical development and current territorial dynamics.
