Objectives
To offer fundamental authors for a diachronic reflection founding Postcolonial Studies, in Francophony, focusing on historically essential texts, in order to provide a reasonable critical position about our time by this way founded on the illustrated memory of the empire. Each author`s and each one of their crucial moments justified articulation will offer to the student a panoramic vision to be deepened in the contexty of rigorous tutorial singular methodology.
Learning outcomes and competences
To introduce Francophony through a selected literary, philosophical and cultural corpus elaboration gives students the capacity of identifying French language exceptionnaly diverse contemporary production so that it will be critically evaluated even in the singularity of outstanding expressions, such as Andrei Makine`s or John Littell`s. These two particular axes practice, as a consequence, the primordial stimulus for a grater curiosity individual supervised researches will develop.
