Objectives
- Understand the political-cultural contexts of the 1st and 2nd centuries A.D.; - Situate Petronius and Apuleius in the Greek-Latin history; - Understand the genetic "corpus" of fictional narratives; - Apply the poetic-rhetoric knowledge to the analysis and interpretation of classical texts.
Learning outcomes and competences
- At the end of the semester, students must demonstrate mastery of the aesthetics of the fictional works studied, the politic and cultural context in which they were composed, the Greek origins and Roman peculiarities.
