Eligibility for exams

The evaluation process of this course consists of two distinct modes, namely A and B.

Evaluation components of Mode A:

- Final Exam
- Project Research and Final report: it is a research work which constitutes a theoretical deepening, technical and methodological of a topic or issue proposed in the theoretical and practical teaching program. Its realization presupposes documentary and empirical research. It is realized by the development of a research project and a final research report.
- Attendance and Tutorial activities

Evaluation components of Mode B (Thematic Report)
- Final Exam
- Thematic Report: it is a written report of individual nature. It is the analysis of one of the themes or sub -themes contained in the theoretical and practical teaching of the course program.
- Attendance and Tutorial activities

The student must choose only one of these evaluation methods. All the tests are compulsory (Mode A or B ), regardless of student status. The requirement of the presence in at least 75% of classes is not a condition for obtaining frequency, but criteria to consider in the final assessment, in accordance with established evaluation .

Calculation formula of final grade

The final grade in the course is the weighted average of the marks obtained to the evaluation components that are part of every scheduled mode - A and B:

Mode A:

Final Exam - 50 %

Project Research and Final Report - 40 %

Tutorial attendance and activities - 10%

Mode B:

Final Exam - 50 %

Thematic Report - 40 %

Tutorial attendance and activities - 10%

So that the student is considered approved in the course the classification of the final exam must be equal to or higher than 10 and the Final Report / Thematic Report and in Tutorial activities will have to be less than 8 points. Failure to comply with this condition implies the student pass for the time feature. When the rating is equal to or less than 7 points in the final exam, and if the student has obtained a positive mark in the other components (Final Report / Thematic Report and in Tutorial activities ) shall be deemed to season or special feature of the same academic year.

It is noteworthy that the classification of the final exam, if negative, can never be compensated by the Final Report / Thematic Report and vice versa.

Examinations or Special Assignments

Delivery date Final Report / Thematic Report:

Delivery of Final Report/ Thematic Report is for all students, regardless of exam period to which they submit (normal and / or resource) , the last class of SFG. If students fail the exam at the normal time can undergo a new examination at the time of resource being maintained at grade obtained in the Final Report / Thematic Report and the remaining OT activities.

Assessment Resource season

For evaluation purposes in times of resource are considered all evaluation components present in any of the modes (A or B) proposals in the course , with the corresponding weight in the final classification.

May have to take the time to use all the students who have not submitted for assessment regular season or that, having done so , they have not passed.

The weighting of attendance will be transferred to the OT activities if the student is exempt from the same according to the Faculty Evaluation Norms.

Evaluation in special season

For the purposes of assessment in special season are considered all evaluation components existing in the course, with the corresponding weight in the final classification.

Students who undergo examination in special season must deliver the evaluation components referred to in Modes A or B on the same date.

Internship work/project

Not applicable.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

Working students are subject to the same evaluation components proposed under the course. Only they are exempted from the attendance, in accordance with the provisions of the Faculty Evaluation Norms. These students should contact the teacher at the beginning of the school year so that they can be properly informed and accompanied in the realization of Research Project and Final Report / Thematic Report and Tutorial activities. In the case of OT activities that require oral presentation and the failure of the student- workers can not perform should contact the teacher to perform OT alternative activities.

The course of Sociology of the Family and Gender has a detailed document on the "Operating Rules of the course and evaluation procedures" available in SIGARRA.

Classification improvement

Despite no improvement target will be considered in calculating the final grade, the grades obtained in the Final Report / Thematic Report and the activities developed in the tutorial sessions. It will be also considered the attendance in the case of students in this to be implemented It remains the weighting given to each of the evaluation components of Mode A and Mode B.
If the improvement of classification is made in the following academic year that students have passed the course she will focus only on the final exam, and oral if necessary.
