Admission to Exams
. Written and oral exam, if required
. Individual thematic written report
. Attendance in theoretical-practical classes and tutorial supervision sessions
. Work developed in tutorial supervision sessions
Students are required to complete all assessment components, regardless of student status.

Calculation formula of final grade

Weighting of each assessment component towards the final mark for the course unit: final exam (50%); individual written report (30%); attendance to theoretical-practical sessions and guidance mentoring (5%); work under the guidance mentoring sessions, including the final outputs (45%).

Examinations or Special Assignments

Students who are legally exempt from class attendance are required to contact the lecturer as soon as classes start in order to establish the corresponding assessment procedures.

Classification improvement

Students can only improve the marks obtained in the final exam or by rewording the thematic report, or both. The marks obtained in other assessment criteria (see ‘Admission to Exams’) will be kept even in the cases of students wishing to improve their overall final mark. Students may improve their marks within a year following the date in which they have successfully completed the course unit: in the final assessment period of that academic year or, otherwise, in the final exam period of the following academic year. Students wishing to improve their mark in the year following the academic year in which the course units were successfully completed will have to follow the programs and assessment methods prevailing in the previous academic year.
