Aims
Acquisition of knowledge of the theoretical and methodological paths of sociology of work.
Understand the shapes of the professional roles of sociologists of work.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Theory-practical classes (TP) - Expository classes in which the lecturer presents the programme topics; group discussion in class.
Tutorials (OT) - Expository classes and discussion among students, divided into small groups, of excerpts from the literature, on the programme themes and texts on practical cases previously selected by the lecturer.

Eligibility for exams
- Attendance is a pre-requirement of assessment. Students will meet this requirement if they do not miss more than 25% of estimated theory-practical classes and 25% of tutorials. Assessment Regulations applicable to 1st cycle courses).
- Assessment elements:
Individual written assignment on one of the subject theme prepared during the semester; final exam (consisting of a written test and an oral, if necessary); work developed in tutorials.
- All assessment components are compulsory
Calculation formula of final grade
- individual written assignment on one of the subject themes, to be prepared during the semester (25% of the final mark).
- Final exam (consisting of a written test and an oral if necessary) (60% of the final mark).
- Work and participation in tutorials (15% da nota final).
- Students who achieve a score of 8 or less in one or more of the assessment elements will have to sit the exam in the Resit period or Special exam period, and take all the tests mentioned below.
Examinations or Special Assignments
In the Resit and Special exam periods to complete the course, the exam will consist of an individual written test (and oral if necessary) and an individual written assignment on one of the themes studies, to be presented after the written exam.
Weighting criteria of each assessment element in the final grade of the course unit: written exam, and oral if necessary - 75%; and individual written assignment - 25%.
All assessment components are compulsory
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
Students who are exempted, by law, from attending classes, and who wish to take the distributed assessment with final exam, have to submit written reports to replace the work normally done in tutorials. Students must schedule the dates with the lecturer responsible.
Classification improvement
Improving the grade must be done in accordance with the Assessment Regulations of Knowledge in force in FLUP. The final exam can be improved (weighting of 75% on the final mark) or the individual written assignment (weighting of 25% on the final mark).
