Students must get familiar with some particular aspects of Spanish literature, according to literal and cultural movements and other European nation in the 19th century.

2. Romantic prose: ideas prose and costumbrism. Mariano José de Larra. Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer.
3. Romantic Theater: Duque de Rivas. José Zorrilla.
4. Realism and Naturalism: Benito Pérez Galdós. Emilia Pardo Bazán in La cuestión palpitante. Leopoldo Alas “Clarín” in La Regenta.
