Objectives
Approach to Spanish literature from the 17th century and study of the most characteristic genres of this period through some texts of its main representative authors.

Eligibility for exams
Class attendance minimum of 75% of the lessons, except in the predicted cases.
Calculation formula of final grade
Assessment without optional classwork:
Written exam: 100% (maximum: 20 points out of 20).
Assessment with optional classwork:
Classwork: 20% (maximum: 4 points out of 20).
Written exam: 80% (maximum: 16 points out of 20).

Examinations or Special Assignments
Optional classwork: oral presentation on some of the literary works previously suggested.
Written exam: Answering a theorethical question/s and text/s commenting. Under no circumstances are students allowed to consult documents during the exam. Only a pen and paper are permitted.
Compulsory reading on which questions will be asked in the written exam:

Classes are taught in spanish, although students may write the exams and even present their classwork either in portuguese or spanish, being given the chance to choose the language they are more comfortable with.
