Objectives

It is today impossible to develop any study on Europe, however elementary it may be, without wide-ranging references to the European Union – one can even say that the European Union is becoming the ever-greater nucleus of all Europe.

Thus, the European Union is, in essence, a product of the Law, whether at its origin, in its structure, its functioning, or in all of its daily actions (including fundamental aspects of everyday life in our country and even of our own individual everyday life as EU citizens). The European Union is after all a Law-based Community.

Bearing this mind, this subject is designed to make students (future specialists on European matters) thoroughly aware of the key guidelines underlying such a Law (Community Law) which shapes the structure and the most elementary aspects of the European Union experience.
