Apresentação Pessoal

I am a Professor and researcher at the Centre of Linguistics (University of Porto, Portugal) and at the Laboratory of Language Evolution (University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland). My area of expertise is the phonology of Portuguese-based creoles.

My research interests are phonological typology, language change, and core phonology. I am particularly interested in inferring autossegmental structures through the study of phonological stability and implicational universals, by using a Phonology-Computer Science interface.

I've created and maintain three lexical and phonological databases:
