Objectives

Provide a broader senior audience with the possibility of attending, at the University of Porto, an educational program compatible with the desired Lifelong Learning.

Information

• RESPONSIBLE TEACHER: Prof.ª Doutora Maria da Graça Lisboa Castro Pinto

• TARGET GROUP: People aged 55 years or over, who have at least 9 years of schooling and who seek to update their knowledge and/or training in the subject areas covered by PEUS.

• COURSE LOAD: up to 3 Curricular Units (UC's) of 20 hours each

• CALENDAR:
• 1^st semester: 15^th October, 2024 to 6^th February, 2025
• 2^nd semester: 25^th February to 12^th June, 2025
  

• SCHEDULE: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 15h00 to 16h30

• Training modality: Face-to-face classes 

• CURRICULAR UNITS (check the training offer here): The curricular units (UC's) included in the Program cover areas of humanities and sciences and health. 

• NUMBER OF MANDATORY ATTENDANCE AND CERTIFICATION:
• The certificate of approval and the certificate of attendance of the course require a presence in 75% of the total course load.
• The certificate issued within the scope of PEUS is not for professional purposes.
• The certificate of approval does not require any assessment of the subjects contained in the syllabuses of the curricular units.

• APPLICATION:
• To apply to PEUS, new applicants must fill in and sign the Candidatura PEUS - Novos estudantes form and send it to uec@letras.up.pt, along with the following documents: Photocopy of the certificate of qualifications; Curriculum vitae; 1 photo;
  
• If you have already been a PEUS student, you must send us the Candidatura PEUS - Estudantes U.Porto form (duly filled in and signed).

  1 curricular unit, with 20 hours - 135 euros
  2 curricular unit, with 20 hours each - 225 euros
  3 curricular unit, with 20 hours each - 335 euros
