Objectives
Compulsory for students who intend to specialise in translation and who have no other subject dedicated to the study of Portuguese in their syllabus, this subject aims to make students aware of some of the specificities of Portuguese Grammar.

3.3. Informational structure.
4. Discourse interpretation.
4.1. Evolution of the concept of significance.

Teaching methods and learning activities
In practical classes, students will be requested to produce small written reports on some topics in the contents, seeking to establish comparisons with the languages with which they will be working as translators.
