Objectives

Compulsory for students who intend to specialise in translation and who have no other subject dedicated to the study of Portuguese in their syllabus, this subject aims to make students aware of some of the specificities of Portuguese Grammar.

2. Representation of verbal language.

2.2. Specificities of oral speech.

3. Mechanisms of discursive structure.
3.1. Textual cohesion.
3.2. Textual coherence.
3.3. Informational structure.

4. Discourse interpretation.
4.1. Evolution of the concept of significance.
4.2. Inference mechanisms.
