The primary objectives of this course are as follows:

b) to obtain a deeper understanding of textual practices and the materiality of text;
c) to start a dialogue about experimental poetics;
d) to discuss the concepts of “experimental literature”, “margin”, “formal constraint”, “combinatory”, “collaboration”, “citation”, “allusion”, “rewriting”, “pastiche”, “intertextuality”, “assemblage”, “appropriation”, “plagiarism”, “transcription”, “readymade”, “hypertext”, “conceptual writing”, “uncreative writing”, “unoriginal genius”, etc.
e) to launch a debate about forms of dissemination of marginal texts.

Learning outcomes and competences

At the end of the training, the trainees must have gained new technical knowledge that will allow them, in the future, to encourage and disseminate the applied and problematized practices in the course. Such practices should not be limited to training. It is important that they become public through exhibitions and publications, and through a constructive dialogue with the university.

Teaching methods and learning activities

At the end of the semester, trainees will have to submit a final project. They may choose to prepare:

a) an artist's book;
b) an e-chapbook of conceptual poetry;
c) a collaborative e-chapbook.

The exhibition of artist books and the publication of e-chapbooks on a digital platform will be the responsibility of the trainer (who will be the curator and editor of the material) and FLUP (at the level of infrastructure). In addition, a digital magazine will also be published with the works prepared by the trainees in class.
