Objectives

The aim is to offer an overview of the possibilities of understanding the classification of philosophical systems. The vision will be sufficiently wide so that the student can find himself facing a range of alternatives and make an option for the one that seems more convenient, thus developing his scientific skills and research capabilities leading to the acquisition of technical skills necessary for the preparation of the dissertation.

In-depth knowledge of a set of general schemes of the history of philosophy.

1. History of philosophy and classification of philosophical systems.
2. Aporetic history and teleological history.
3. Two models of history of philosophy: G. W. F. Hegel and Martial Gueroult.
4. An example: Descartes' system. Hegel's point of view and M. Gueroult's point of view.
5. Classification of philosophical systems according to Jules Vuillemin.
6. Other possibilities of classification of the systems, in its relation with the history of the philosophy.
