The internship will take place in a business or research environment. Undertaking a internship assumes that the student at the end of UC is able to: integrate into the professional environment for which its acquiring skills; get an experience of interaction with skilled technicians and their work; contact with the requirements of professional everyday life; learn to plan, schedule and execute with existing resources; enhance the ethics, persistence, consistency, initiative, creativity and quality in labour.
The objectives are related with the theoretical-practical learning acquired in the first year of the study cycle, working in this curricular unit as the basis for the learning experience in a real context of the work for the GIS and OT professionals, providing privileged experiences of application of their skills for solving challenges and problems posed by the Internship Institution.
In the end, the student must do a Training Report that will mirror not only the progress made and constraints encountered during their stay at the host institution, as present the results of research conducted on a selected theme, the state of knowledge, information sources raised / used, and capital gains the application of techniques and updated methodologies.

There is no specific curricular subject, because the students of the UC Internaship will focus on the tasks and challenges posed by Internership Institution for problems of Spatial Planning and the use of GIS Technologies, covering the most varied fields of knowledge and technical performance related to the cycle of studies.
Starting from a general program contract of the Faculty, the student of each internship will have tasks and goals that will be specified on the individual protocol to be established between the Faculty and the host entity. Are priorities of this program's the involvement in the labour environment, acquiring a wide experience within the specific contents of the profession and a research exercise and appreciation addressed to a theme set joining the interests of the institution and the student, the availability of guidance and interest for the formation.
Bibliography will be indicated by the teacher according to the Training Program.

Students are required to comply with a minimum of 75% of OT sessions and training
The final internship classification has two main components, one related with the student integration and performance in Internship Institution (II) and another related to the final internship report.
Regarding student integration and performance in the II, these are defined through a weighted assessment of the following criteria:
- Attendance and punctuality of the student;
- Application of the student in the tasks assigned to him,
- Integration of students into IE activities and relationship with IE professionals;
With regard to the final report of the internship period, it shall be assessed taking into account:
- formal compliance with the rules of a report;
- Quality of work presented;
- Combination and application of competences related to the Cycle of Studies;
- Quality of the solutions found by the student in solving the tasks and challenges posed by the II.

Evaluation of the internship in the II (10%) + Final report of the Internship (60%) + Presentation of the IR (30%)
