Objectives

This programme provides solid training in the fundamentals of economics (microeconomic, macroeconomics, monetary and financial system) to journalism and communication science students. Based on the fact that Economics is a dynamic system and not a series of facts that must be memorised, the aim is to develop the ability to think economically through the analysis of fundamental concepts in Economics.

It is expected that students can develop the ability to think economically through the analysis of fundamental concepts in Economics.

Eligibility for exams

Mandatory attendance of 75% of classes, unless established otherwise by general law and in the FLUP Assessment Regulations.

Calculation formula of final grade

Two evaluation tests are carried out in the continuous assessment regime and a small written work (400 words). The student's final grade is given by:

0.45x1st test score + 0.45x 2nd test score + 0.1 x written work.

In the final assessment regime, a single exam is carried out with a weighting of 100% in the final grade of the student.

The second test coincides with the final exam.
