Objectives

The student learns the theoretical knowledge about methods and focus for teaching Spanish as a foreign language, promoting a critical evaluation as a preparation for the teaching activity. According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and the main principles of Spanish teaching programs at the Portuguese basic and secondary level schools, there is a special stress in communicative focuses, mainly in the Task Focus and Intercultural Learning.

Learning outcomes and competences

The seminar develops critical abilities and reflection about strategies and the resources for the teaching/learning according to the different methods and focuses.

The seminar also develops critical abilities and reflection about the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and the main principles of Spanish teaching programs at the Portuguese basic and secondary level schools.
