Objetivos

This course aims at providing Students with multidisciplinary background knowledge that is relevant to their activity as PhD Students and Researchers. Seminars offers the Students the opportunity to attend a a number of training courses offered by FEUP under the program

Transferable Skills for Engineering (TSE)

These courses  (see in the program the list of courses available)  can be attended by PhD students aiming at:

1. additional training

or

2. credited in the PDEEC ‘Seminars’

Together with the selected training courses on TSE the students can complete the 7.5 ECTS by carrying out work equivalent to 1.5 ECTS with a supervisor or tutor in a topic of interest for the student future research work

- This course will provide the participants with a comprehesive understanding of intelectual property and business model developement in the context of technology entrepreneurship..

- to develop skills for PhD students involved in teaching activities or planning to be involved in the future teaching activities

• Comunicação assertiva e Técnicas de apresentação (módulo avançado)  (in portuguese)

- para permitir aos doutorandos um desenvolvimento eficaz da investigação e a intensificação da produtividade na escrita da tese, mantendo-se psicologicamente coerentes/resilientes face aos aspetos intelectuais e emocionais que enfrentam ao longo do doutoramento.

- PhD students will be able o adapt the best research methodology and data analysis to a specific application domain.

• Transferable Skills for Engineering: Scientific Publication and Writing (PEC)
  to gain publishing skills through more systematic writing and the selection of the appropriate journal taking into account jornal contents and scientific impact. It will improve student skills on paper reviewing and paper corrections.
