Professor of Physics at FEUP since 2000 (tenure in 2006).
Academic Degrees: PhD in Physics, 2000 – Université de Paris XI, France, and Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Portugal; MSc in Physics, IST, 1996, Degree in Engineering Physics, IST, 1993.
Publications: Author of about 40 papers in peer-reviewed papers (half of them as first author); author of about 80 works presented in International Conferences, including ~20 invited talks.
Member of several International Scientific Committees (ISC):
-Chair of the ISC of ESCAMPIG (Europhysics Conference on the Atomic and Molecular Physics of Ionized Gases) since 2016. ISC member since July 2012;
-SPPT (Symposium on Plasma Physics and Technology) since July 2015;
-Member of the Steering Committee of the Plasma Thin Film International Union Meeting (PLATHINIUM) since July 2018;
-Conference on Plasma Physics, European Physical Society (EPS), member of the panel Low Temperature and Dusty Plasmas (LTDP), June 2014-July 2015.
