Mission:	The mission of the Pedagogical Innovation Office (GIP) is to continuously improve the teaching/learning processes in the courses, covering the three study cycles and continuous training at FEUP, to promote the academic potential of students and professors in their various aspects, based on a culture of teaching excellence. The competencies of the GIP, expressed in Article 12 of the FEUP Organic Regulation, are: Monitor the state of the art in the area of teaching and learning, with relevance to FEUP; Organize, support or promote training/events in the pedagogical area relevant to the FEUP community; Disseminate FEUP’s “good pedagogical practices”, through support/implementation of publications and communications by teachers; Promote FEUP’s “good pedagogical practices” in its community and abroad; Streamline training and learning contexts, enhancing the development of comprehensive training for students using new educational approaches Carry out and collaborate in studies in the area of innovative and inclusive teaching and learning; Issue opinions on studies and reports, whenever requested by FEUP's management bodies, services and offices; Collaborate with similar offices at the U.Porto and other higher education institutions; Participate and collaborate on projects that fit with your mission; Participate in pedagogical network meetings representing FEUP, whenever requested by management bodies.

It also aims to enable the crediting of student participation in Engineering Competitions, which are oriented towards the resolution of complex problems/challenges, which include participation in specific prior training and whose development is centered on carrying out a team work by objectives and limited in time. The TSs listed below can be attended extracurricularly by students and can be credited in academic pathways. Aware of these challenges, FEUP recognizes that such competences, in addition to putting doctoral programs in line with the most recent assumptions of quality in doctoral education, will be able to: allow its doctoral students to better guide and onboard the doctoral process, develop the more efficient and fruitful thesis, finding coping strategies for daily constraints, promoting the creation of businesses, start-ups and new projects, etc. increasing the employability of doctorates.
