The Industrial Drawing Section develops its activity, essentially, in three areas: the University Education, training and the normative activity in the areas of technical design and of the elements of mechanical linkage within the ONS-INEGI.

In the University Education, this section is responsible for several subjects in the area of Design and of Conception and Computer Assisted Production, of the First degree in Mechanical Engineering. Their teachers lecture, additionally, the subject of Industrial drawing in the First degree in Materials Engineering, in Chemical Engineering, in Industrial Managment Engineering in Mining and Geo-Environmental Engineering and Aerospatial Engineering. The subject Tools and Die Manufacture and Advanced Production Technologies in Specialisation in Materials and Manufacturing Processes, of the Master in Mechanical Engineering, are also lectured by teachers of this section.
