Objectives
To disseminate knowledge in the area of Innovation Management, that on one hand makes students able to initiate research and, on the other hand provides them basic tools to analyse processes of creation and innovation and their implication in management, by exploring the ways through which innovation can be stimulated in organisations.

Teaching methods and learning activities
The teaching will have a theoretical-practical nature with a special emphasis on the discussion of practical cases and students’ participation in class. Teamwork is also encouraged by the presentation of research assignments.

Eligibility for exams
Students may not improve the grade or repeat the research assignment. The grade reached in this component will be combined with the grade of the exam at the normal or recurso (resit) season of exams, being the resit exam done to improve the grade or complete the course unit.
Calculation formula of final grade
Group assignment (40%) + Test/Exam (60%)

GROUP ASSIGNMENT
Rules:
- The groups are composed by three/four students.
- The final version (word) should not exceed twenty A4 pages (references and appendixes not included).
-The assignments have to be written according to the rules established in the format document which will be sent by e-mail.
- It is mandatory to hand in the word file to the professors via e-mail up until 12 pm of the scheduled date.
- Dates will be set for students to hand in each stage of the project:
- Abstract (up to 500 words) with the chosen theme and group composition (5%)
- 1st draft (literature review on the theme – up to 10 pages + references) (15%)
- 2nd draft (reviewed literature review + proposed methodology + up to 15 pages + references) (25%)
- Final version (reviewed literature review + reviewed proposed methodology + conclusion – up to 20 pages + references) (30%)
- Final and public presentation (15%)
- Assignments will not be accepted if handed in after the deadline, independently of the reason (please make sure you send the e-mail before the deadline with acknowledgment of receipt)
- The themes of the assignments are set by the professors according to the list below.
- All the group members have to take part of the public presentation and they will be assessed individually by their presentation and answers given. The presentation has a maximum length of 15m + 5 m of questions
