2. DIVERSE SUBJECTS INTEGRATED IN FOLLOWING THE AREAS (Resp.: Prof. João Porto):
a) Behavior of construction elements (comparative study of constructive solutions)
b) Behavior of buildings (thermal, acoustic, security against fire, etc.)
c) Monographic study of materials, elements or systems of construction
d) Economy and management of the construction
e) Quality and security in the construction

3. SHEETS OF SUPPORT To the QUALITY CONTROL, SECURITY and ENVIRONMENT (Resp.: Prof. Jose Amorim Faria)

c) the preparation of new sheets;
d) application of the sheets to a concrete case of a workmanship in course.

4. CONSTRUCTION DURABILITY (Resp. Prof. Helena Corvacho)
For an item of construction (material, element, system) to the choice of the pupils it is proposed the collecting and the treatment of its behaviour in service and durability information, the work developing in the following form:
a) Exhausting characterization of the chosen construction item
b) Collecting of normative, regulating or others texts
c) Identification of the applicable requirements of performance
d) Inspection of buildings: photographic survey of pathologies associated to the element in study
e) Identification of the agents of more excellent degradation
f) Research of existing works on the item in study behaviour through the time - useful life reference
g) Listing of the influential factors in its useful life
h) Proposal of characterization matrix of the durability
i) Synthesis of recommendations for the prevention of the degradation - conception and maintenance.

5. BUILDING MAINTENANCE (Resp. Prof. Rui Calejo Rodrigues)
Redaction of a synthesis of knowledge on Management of Buildings in Service, based on collected bibliography and in thematic sessions issued by the thatcher or by selected guests.
Development of a "MANUAL OF USE" of an existing building structuralized in manual of operation and manual of maintenance connected with the respective Fiches Techniques of the Habitations (FTH).
