Objectives

To develop technical aptitudes towards buildings in service.
Focus in a new concept in the domain of the management that is the Building Management.

Program

Building in service behaviour (Factors of degradation of buildings, Life-cycle, Classification of the interventions, Simulation of building behavior ).
Building Management, Smart Buildings.
Building Maintenance (Involved concepts, Maintenance policy, Economy of maintenance, Methodology of maintenance, Applicable legislation, Programs of financing).
Building Refurbishment (Classification and criteria of the interventions, Economics of building refurbishment, Methodology of Diagnosis, Aspects).
Survey and diagnosis of building pathology.
Technology of building maintenance and rehabilitation (M&R) (Structures, not resistant Masonry, Outer covers, Interior coverings, Paintings, Coverings, Vain, Installations). Design for building rehabilitation


Teaching methods and learning activities

Pedagogically uses the educational method based on the learning necessity to win difficulties. Each pupil faces in the beginning of the discipline a practical case in the domain of the building pathology, for which he does not have resolution aptitudes. The chance is given to develop these aptitudes in uncurling of the discipline with theoretical lessons, thematic lectures, debates and technical and commercial presentations.
