Objectives
Give the scholars the knowledge of planning and organise the transports systems in urban areas, with special emphasis in is conceptual characteristics and experimental process.
Program
Chap. I - Introduction
The needing of planning and the planning process as a continuos knowledge.
The urban mobility as a competitive needing.
The transport planning and land use; integration in other planning levels.
The observation and analysis importance in the planning process; the needing of articulation with programmatic levels, project criteria's and urban management.
Conceptual characteristics of transport planning.
Chap. II - Transportation modelling
The trip-generation model, the trip-distribution, the modal-choice and the assignement model.
Chap. III - Mobility management
A strategic complement of transport planning - concepts and techniques for the promotion of the multimodality.
Chap. IV - Mobility and project
The importance of the project criteria's in developing mobility programs.
Chap. V - Applicable legislation.
