Personal Presentation

Rogério Lopes completed his Mestrado Integrado (Integrated Master’s) in Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP) on September 19, 2019, and his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution on November 15, 2024.

He is currently a Researcher at the Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (INEGI) and an Invited Assistant Professor at FEUP.

Rogério has an extensive scientific track record, including:

• 11 journal articles, 6 international conference papers, 1 book chapter, and 2 theses/dissertations.

• 13 presentations at conferences and 2 additional presentations delivered by co-authors at international conferences.

• 16 total publications indexed in Scopus.

He has participated in 9 research projects and contributed to 14 consulting and development contracts with industrial partners through INEGI. His supervision experience includes mentoring researchers and supervising Master’s students in the field of numerical simulation.

Rogério is also actively involved in the scientific and professional community, with paper reviews, professional memberships, participation in Bachelor internship juries, and membership on conference committees.

His main research interests are in the field of Mechanical Engineering, within the broader area of Engineering and Technology.
