Current position: Assistant Professor; Member of the R&D unit CONSTRUCT- Institute of R&D in Structures and Construction.

Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from FEUP (2005); PhD in Civil Engineering from FEUP (2011).

Main research interests/skills: Construction materials, sustainability and circular economy in construction; new building materials; efficient and smart construction; concrete technology; self-compacting concrete; high performance concrete; geopolymer concrete; eco-concrete; recycled concrete; construction and demolition waste; incorporation of waste and by-products from other industries in construction; concrete structures; durability and pathologies in buildings; 3D printing in construction; artificial intelligence in construction; automation and digitalization of construction.

Main activities: Supervisor of doctoral theses; author of scientific publications; technical reports.

Other relevant information: Assistant Professor at the University of Madeira from 2011 to 2019 where the following functions were performed: Supervision of Master's theses; teacher of the course units Construction Materials, Construction Physics, Construction Technology, Construction Organization and Management, Structural Statics, Materials and Technologies, Construction Principles; Course Director of the Degree in Civil Engineering; Member of the Pedagogical Council; Coordinator of the Scientific Area of ​​Civil Engineering and Geology; Member of the Scientific Council; Member of the University Senate.
