Current position: Assistant Professor of Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP); Integrated member of the R&D unit CITTA- Institute of R&D in Territory and Transport Planning.

Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from FEUP (1994); Master in Buildings Construction from FEUP (1996); PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Porto (2010).

Main research interests/skills: Acoustics; Environmental Impact Assessment of projects regarding Noise and vibrations; Noise modelling; Interaction 'environmental noise/Human health. Integrated analysis in the fields of Spatial Planning, Infrastructure Network (Roads, Railways and Energy) and Noise. Strategic Environmental Assessment of Plans. Geographical Information Systems.

Main activities: Teaching activities, related to the above mentioned research interests and competencies, in the Master in Civil Engineering (MIEC), Master in Spatial Planning and Urban Project (MPPU), Master in Integrated Building Design and Construction (MPRINCE) and in Environmental Engineering. University extension activities, within which it has coordinated teams and collaborated in the preparation of specific studies in the field of strategic environmental assessment and environmental assessment of projects.
