Current position: Full Professor of Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP); Member of the Management Board of the Laboratório de Ensaio de Materiais de Construção; Member of the Management Board of the R&D unit CITTA – Research Centre for Territory, Transports and Environment; Member of the Department of Civil Engineering Council.

 

Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from FEUP (1988); PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Porto (2005); Habilitation in Civil Engineering from the University of Porto (2017).

 

Main research interests/skills: Econometrics, Transport Infrastructures and Operation, Transport and Safety Modelling.

 

Years of relevant experience: 25

 

Main activities: Principal Investigator of 3 I&D projects and member of the team of 12 research projects in the area of  transport management and safety; supervisor of 5 doctoral theses (2 ongoing); author of more than 200 scientific and technical publications.

 

Other relevant information: Director of the master program in Urban Mobility Management (MGMU); Member of the editorial board of the journal Infrastructures.
