Current Position: Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), Department of Civil Engineering, Spatial Planning and Environment Division; researcher at CITTA – Research centre for Territory, Transports and Environment Research

Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from FEUP (1988); Master of Business Administration from Instituto Superior de Estudos Empresariais da Universidade do Porto (current Porto Business School) (1994); Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Instituto Superior de Estudos Empresariais da Universidade do Porto (current Porto Business School) (1991); PhD in Civil Engineering from Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (2003); Aggregation in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (2021).

Main research interests / competences: Land planning and management; land and property markets; land policies; urban development; urban economy; regional planning; urban management; urban governance and policies; urban taxation; strategic planning of cities and metropolitan areas; urban management information systems; land and property valuation

Years of relevant experience: 30

Main activities: responsible for one research project; participation in 6 scientific research projects; participation in consultancy work; author of over 200 technical and scientific publications.
