Apresentação Pessoal

Maria Lopes, a Chemical Engineer, got her PhD in Biomaterials in 1999, in the ceramic field. She has a recognized published work on the development of materials for regenerative medicine, mainly in bone tissue, vascular grafts, scaffolds for nerve tissue regeneration and endodontic sealers. Nowadays, she is facing new challenges such as i) developing scaffolds for tendons and ligaments repair by textile technology; ii) developing bone grafts through additive manufacturing, and iii) materials circular economy.
