Ana Paiva (published as Ana C. R. Paiva) is a researcher at INESC TEC in the area of ​​Software Engineering and a member of the Software Engineering Group that brings together researchers and postgraduates with common interests in Software Engineering. She holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from FEUP, with a thesis entitled Automated Specification Based Testing of Graphical User Interfaces. During her PhD, she developed research work in collaboration with the FSE (Foundation of Software Engineering) group at Microsoft Research, where she had the opportunity to extend Microsoft's model-based testing tool, Spec Explorer, for testing GUIs. She is a co-founder of PSTQB (Portuguese Software Testing Qualification Board). She is a member of the Board of the European association “Informatics Europe”.
