• Catarina F. Castro holds a PhD in Engineering Sciences from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), where she is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. With more than 25 years of experience in high education she is currently involved in research projects and supervisions in the area of optimization algorithms, computer simulation and biomedical engineering.

• Exchange Coordinator for Mechanical Engineering from March 2015 to October 2022.
