Global Engineering


PRESENTATION
This curriculum unit was created in 2012, with accreditation in 2015/2016 as a course, in collaboration between FEUP and UMBC (University of Maryland, USA). It has always been highly successful, involving simultaneous teaching via video conferencing with students integrated into multicultural teams. The curriculum focuses on global and multidisciplinary issues, proposing culturally and socially acceptable solutions for the country they are intended for or on a global scale. The CT program ‘The Next Generation Engineer - Global Engineering’ has been awarded the ‘Best Practices in International Higher Education Award’ by the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) in the Global Partnerships category.

Recipients
  • Students of the a 2nd study cycle from the U.Porto, preferably from an engineering degree.
  • Alumni of a 2nd study cycle.

Calendar and Schedule: 1st Semester, Tue and Thu (1:30 PM-3:00 PM)

6 ECTS (Accreditation by the U.Porto on 26.07.2021)
