The overall goal this curricular unit presents to each student is to:
Develop the set of methodological skills that will enable them to identify a topic within their field of study in the area of Occupational Safety, and simultaneously define the specific objectives of research.
The specific objectives of the curricular unit are:
  • To acquire advanced Occupational Safety knowledge in the specific area of the student's research;
  • To implement a critical and reflective stance on the information available;
  • To develop the ability to identify, evaluate and formulate problems in the area of Occupational Safety.

To address in a systematic way the theoretical and practical knowledge and concepts to develop during the semester the research project in Occupational Safety and Health.

Develop a set of methodological skills that enable each student to circumscribe a topic, identify a problem and define research goals.

The specific objectives include:
• To acquire advanced knowledge on operationalization of the different research paradigms;
• To interiorise a critical and reflective attitude about the information available;
• To develop the ability to identify, assess and formulate problems of occupational safety and health;
• To develope the ability to work in a multidisciplinar and multicultural team.
