Cycles of Study/Courses
Teaching language
English
Objectives
To provide basic knowledge related with the used equipment and techniques of experimental assay of structures, and to enhance the importance of the Instrumentation and Observation of Structures by means of the presentation of diverse "case studies".
Program
Equipment for static testings and dynamic of structures. Systems of application and measurement of forces. Measurement of displacements and deformations. Electric Extensometry of resistance and optic techniques. Accomplishment of experimental assays in physical models. Measurement of vibrations in structures. Systems of acquisition, analysis and processing of signal. Experimental identification of dynamic parameters. Identification of damages in materials and structures. Not-destructive assays and load assays. Definition of observation plans. Observation on the constructive, reception and service phases. Monitoring of the structural behavior in the long run.
