Raul Domingos Ferreira Moreira was born in 1984 at Porto, Portugal. In 2021 he completed his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering - Applied Mechanics at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP), Porto, Portugal, in 2013 he completed his MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering – Mechanical Constructions and in 2010 he completed his BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, at Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), Porto, Portugal. Moreira served a PhD fellowship research grant, (funded by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), Portugal), at Instituto de Ciência e Inovação em Engenharia Mecânica e Engenharia Industrial (INEGI), Porto, Portugal, and at Faculdade de Engenharia Universidade do Porto (FEUP), Porto, Portugal. He is an active researcher in the fields of numerical modelling, finite element methods, cohesive zone models for fracture behaviour characterisation, adhesive joint design and fatigue/durability analyses of adhesive joints.
