Current position: Associate Professor of Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP); Integrated member of the R&D unit CITTA- Institute of R&D in Territory and Transport Planning.
Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from FEUP (1998); Master in Roads from FEUP (2003); PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Porto (2010).
Main research interests/skills: Transport systems; Road Safety; Transport data modelling; Human factor on road safety; Interaction human-machine; Autonomous and automated vehicles.
Years of relevant experience: 15
Main activities: Principal Investigator of 7 research projects and member of the team of 8 research projects in the area of road safety and transports; supervisor or co-supervisor of 5 doctoral theses (3 ongoing) and 1 pos-doc; author of more than 100 scientific and technical publications.
Other relevant information: Member of the editorial board of the Revista Transportes and Journal of Safety Research; Member of the Executive Experts Board of the governmental project Zero Vision 2030 of Autoridade Nacional de Segurança Rodoviária.
