He is an integrated researcher at the Associated Laboratory for Energy, Transport and Aeronautics (LAETA), Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering (INEGI).

He is the Coordinator of the research group Intelligent Systems & Control (ISC) / LAETA-INEGI.

His areas of research are Automation, Robotics, Complex Systems Modeling and Fractional Order Systems. He is the author of more than 220 papers in SCI journals (Out. 2023) and of 4 books.

He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Applied Nonlinear Dynamics (L&H Sci.
