Abstract (EN): On behalf of the Organizing and Program Committees, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the 2007 International Conference on Design & Technology of Integrated Systems in Nanoscale Era (DTIS'07), this year taking place in Rabat, Morocco. Pursuing the success attained within the first edition at Tunis, DTIS’07 aims at establishing a space to present and discuss technical developments necessary to tackle with the issues raised by the continuously changing electronic technologies. DTIS’07 explores emerging challenges and novel concepts in design, testing and technology of electronic products. The topics to be discussed range from integrated circuits through multi-chip modules and printed circuit boards to full systems and micro-systems. DTIS’07 provides space to research papers that assess the methodologies and tools used in the design, verification and validation of such products. This year the 85 papers submitted to the three track areas are divided into 75% for design, 12% for testing, and 13% for technology. From the 52 accepted papers which are compiled in these Proceedings, 35 were selected for oral presentation in 13 sessions, and 17 for poster presentation. The technical program includes also two panel sessions. Apart from the above mentioned, a special session has been organized to elaborate on the benefits of the partnership between academia and industry in research projects. DTIS’07 is hosted in Rabat, Morocco. It has been organized by TU Delft and supported by the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. DTIS’07 has been technically co-sponsored by the IEEE and the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society. An event of this nature and dimension is the result of the contributions of various individuals and institutions. They include authors’ technical contributions, the effort of reviewers on evaluating papers and providing feedback, the dedication of the Local Organization in taking care of all the logistics, registration and welcoming facilities, the carefulness of the Proceedings editors, as well as the effort of the session chairs to ensure the correct scheduling of the program and that presenters obtain an interactive discussion with participants. We express our gratitude to all of them. Finally, we thank the support of all public and private institutions that sponsored this event. We sincerely wish you an enjoyable and fruitful participation in the 2007 International Conference on Design & Technology of Integrated Systems in Nanoscale Era.
