Biography of Abílio Barreiro (1878-1961)

He was awarded the degree of doctor of Physical and Chemical Sciences by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, where he taught various subjects of the Chemistry Group. After he retired, he remained connected to the Physics Laboratory of the Faculty as President of the Portuguese Society of Physics and Chemistry.
He was Civil Governor of Leiria.
