The Academic Affairs Office operates within the scope of administration, management, and support of both degree-awarding and non-degree-awarding programmes offered by ICBAS. It is structured into the Undergraduate Unit and the Postgraduate and Continuing Education Unit. |
| Description: |
Within the scope of the responsibilities assigned to the Academic Affairs, the Undergraduate Unit carries out, among others, the following duties:
- Providing front-office assistance;
- Offering information on admission and attendance requirements for the Bachelor’s Degree in Aquatic Sciences and the Integrated Master’s Degrees in Medicine and Veterinary Medicine at ICBAS;
- Ensuring the provision of information and documentation related to academic procedures such as applications, enrolments, registrations, re-entries, changes of institution/course pair, and tuition fees;
- Receiving and managing processes related to the recognition of prior learning and professional experience;
- Recording all actions concerning students’ academic records, and organising and maintaining up-to-date archives of individual student files;
- Issuing certificates of enrolment, registration, attendance, completion, and other documents listed in the University of Porto Fee Table;
- Providing statistical data to the Directorate-General for Education and Science Statistics, the Portuguese Medical Association, and other relevant bodies;
- Managing processes related to the recognition of foreign degrees.
