Objectives

This programme aims to address the challenges posed by infectious diseases in the 21st Century by discussing strategies in surveillance, prevention and control, as well as evaluating how they impact public health.

Learning outcomes and competences

This course provides a broad understanding of infectious diseases and is of particular relevance to in-service health professionals. We will discuss strategies for the control and treatment of infectious diseases, allowing the student to acquire new knowledge and update his/hers current expertise
