To gain theoretical and practical knowledge in the development and application of instruments for the evaluation of objective and subjective health determinants.
Students should be able of developing a questionnaire to assess objective and subjective health information and to test its validity and reliability. Should be able of perform a critical revision of a tool. Should gain skills on collection and handling health data.
Evaluation of objective and subjective measurements: questionnaire design and structure; development of scales and index; Validity and reliability.
Principal component analysis and factorial analyses; Internal consistency; Scoring scales; defining cut-off points.
Questionnaires’ applications: administration methods (advantages and disadvantages); Maximize the participation proportion; to reduce measurement errors and its effects.
