- Physician of the Community Support Team in Palliative Care Gaia of the ULS Gaia and Espinho

- Invited Assistant Professor at FMUC, where he is the head of the Pain Therapy and Palliative Care course and teaches Physiopathology, in addition to collaborating with the Master's program in Continuing and Palliative Care and with the Postgraduate program in Pain Medicine

- Invited Assistant Professor at FMUP, where he teaches Palliative Care (6th year)

- Integrated researcher at the Coimbra Institute for Clinical and Biomedical Research -
Research Center in Environment, Genetics and Oncobiology, in the areas of pain, palliative care, dementia, biomarkers and cancer

- Scientific coordinator of the civic intervention group Iniciativa Médica 3M, having been one of those responsible for organizing 4 Multidisciplinary Pain Congresses (the largest Portuguese congress in this area) and more than 500 courses and 3000 workshops, which had more than 12,000 participants, in more than 3,000 hours of training, in addition to 6 training and medical volunteer missions in the PALOP (Mozambique, Angola and Cape Verde)
