Tiago Jacinto is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Community Medicine, Information and Health Decision (MEDCIDS) of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), where he teaches and researches in digital health, medical informatics, and AI in healthcare. He is an Integrated Researcher at RISE-Health and an Affiliated Researcher at the Department of Women's and Children's Health of Uppsala University, Sweden. His research focuses on the development and evaluation of clinical decision support systems, mobile health applications, and the application of artificial intelligence to health data. He has been involved in multiple nationally and internationally funded projects, including AIRDOC, mINSPIRE, and the ongoing EU4Health project iNTERVENE. He is author of more than 110 internationally indexed scientific publications, with an h-index of 18 (Web of Science). At FMUP, he co-directs the Master's in Medical Informatics and is responsible for course units in Electronic Health Records, Productivity Tools for Health Professionals, and Digital Health within the undergraduate degree in Digital Health and Biomedical Innovation. He also teaches in the Integrated Master's in Medicine (DECIDES II and III) and in the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Research and Health Services. He is co-host of "Saúde: Conversas & Caminhos," the first podcast launched by FMUP, and has contributed to the European Respiratory Society's educational journal Breathe as part of the "Doing Science" series.
